Accommodations
Accommodations are not something to feel bad about or let others make you feel bad about.
You would give a blind person brail; it would be unfair not to.
A dyslexic person getting accommodations follows the same logic.
IEP
Or Individualized Education Program, is comprised of specifically designed instruction that involves adapting the instruction to address the needs of the student.
It is also very goal-oriented and involves everyone (students, teachers, and parents).
504 Plan
Personalized educational support plan that focuses on ensuring equal access and opportunity for students with dyslexia or other disbilities.
Mix of Both
For students who are in need of accommodations that come from both plans, a mixture of both can be implemented to address their specific needs.
